PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING A QUALICOAT / QUALANOD / QUALIDECO / QUALISTEELCOAT LICENSE
FOR A COATING FACILITY (general information):

Any facility that applies liquid or powder organic coatings, or anodic coatings, to the surfaces of aluminum or steel components intended for architectural use may apply for a license. The procedure for granting a QUALICOAT / QUALANOD / QUALIDECO / QUALISTEELCOAT license consists of the following steps:
1. The facility verifies that the procedures it uses to control the production process and test the quality of coatings comply with the Technical Requirements of the relevant quality system. The Polish-language versions of the Requirements are available under the TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS.
The facility submits an application for membership in the QUALIPOL Association and pays the applicable fees (application and membership fees). Membership in the QUALIPOL Association is mandatory for licensed facilities. All formalities related to the granting and maintenance of the quality mark for licensed facilities are handled by the secretariat of the QUALIPOL Association, which is the general licensee of the QUALICOAT / QUALANOD / QUALIDECO / QUALISTEELCOAT quality marks in Poland.
The QUALIPOL Association submits a request to the QUALICOAT, QUALANOD, QUALIDECO, or QUALISTEELCOAT Secretariat to grant a license to the facility that has declared its readiness to undergo the inspection procedure.
Inspectors from the testing laboratory conduct inspections at the facility and collect samples for testing in accordance with the procedures of the relevant quality marks, after which they submit reports to the Secretariat of the relevant quality mark.

Upon successful completion of the inspection procedure, the treatment facility is granted a QUALICOAT, QUALANOD, QUALIDECO, or QUALISTEELCOAT license and is assigned a license number. From that point on, the facility may use the corresponding quality mark.
Facilities holding a QUALICOAT license may apply to extend their certification to include a QUALIDECO license, as well as to confirm that they perform surface preparation in accordance with SEASIDE.
